Michael Weller, Memorial Choir Director, spent time in Acuna, Mexico building a house for a sister in Christ. Maria, who is in a wheelchair and missing one leg, was living in the burned out shell of her home.

Easter Sunday was a day of fellowship as our families shared in a traditional Sunrise Service. We enjoyed a light breakfast that was followed by our Intergenerational Christian Education.
The weather was beautiful for the children, as they enjoyed hunting for Easter Eggs fill with small trinkets and candy. We visited and welcomed each other in the Narthex and then settled in the Sanctuary to continue our Easter Celebration

|2015 Vacation Bible School

This year Vacation Bible School was held here at Memorial June 7th-10th. With the help of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, we welcomed about 40 children each day.
Through music, crafts, stories, games and yummy snacks, the children learn many ways that God provides for us. As usual, this years' event was a success due to our wonderful volunteers.
Everyone had a lot of fun and we are so grateful to everyone for their continued support!!
|Why the Chimes Rang

On Sunday, December 14th, the children presented “Why the Chimes Rang” written by Raymond McAlden . The story was narrated and the children acted out the story and sang a song or two. It is a wonderful story with a beautiful Christmas message.
|Hanging of the Greens

On December 7th, the Worship and Music Committee hosted the annual Hanging of the Greens to decorate our church for the Christmas Season. After the congregation decorated the church, we had a carry-in luncheon.

In September we welcome a “New Year” of Christian Education by sharing a carry-in picnic meal after church on Sunday and having a “walk/bike-a-thon. The children and adults ride their bikes or walk to raise money for summer camp. We have lots of fun!!
|Fifth Sunday Fellowship

Fifth Sunday Fellowship lunches occur over good food and exceptional conversation following Worship every month of the year which has five Sundays. The Congregational Life Committee provides the meat, drinks, and table service, while the Congregation shares homemade salads, vegetable dishes, and desserts.
There is no formal program and everyone is welcome. Visitors, who need not bring a dish to share, will find these events a wonderful way to become acquainted with new friends. Fifth Sunday Fellowship lunches are always highly anticipated --- please join in and find out why.
|Vacation Bible School

A combined Vacation Bible School (VBS) between three Xenia Churches (Memorial, Westminster, First Lutheran) was held at Memorial the first week of June. The VBS events was blessed with many wonderful volunteers and with a great group of about 35 children and 9 youth each day. It was a lot of fun for everyone.
The youth and volunteers loved the week of VBS and we are so grateful to our volunteers and everyone for their support!
